Tumblr is a microblogging platform that allows users to post text, images, videos, links, quotes and audio to their tumblelog, a short-form blog. Users can follow other users, or choose to make their tumblelog private. The service emphasizes ease of use.
David Karp founded Tumblr in 2007 with Marco Arment as lead developer. 75,000 existing bloggers soon switched to the platform, and since that time, the service has garnered more than 3 million users. In 2009, Tumblr acquired the Tumblr iPhone app, initially known as Tumblerette, that was created by Jeff Rock and Garrett Ross. This post is a collection of best free Tumblr themes to help you choose a well formatted design for your Tumblr blog. I hope you like them..

i need grid themes :/
cool,
On the Yip theme http://www.tumblr.com/theme/14645 , how to I change the next page option so it will not open a new tab when clicked and instead just change the page on the current tab?
when you click customise for your blog go down and it’ll say ‘Pages’. It might be cut off, but it is the last option. Click ‘Pages’ and go to ‘Advanced’. It will be the second one, under ‘_____ posts per page.’ You can uncheck or check the box that says ‘Open links in new tab’. If you don’t want to open links in a new tab then uncheck it. If you do then check it.
Cool list. I like The Traveler and The Organ most!
[...] Tumblr: Tumblr was designed for ease of blogging. The user experience is wonderful (once you know what the icons mean). It doesn’t have the flexibility of WordPress, and seems to be mostly art/photography based, but it isn’t difficult to make other uses of it, as with my stories. Tumblr is much more community based than most other blog technologies, as sharing/reblogging is emphasized everywhere. As with WordPress, there are tons of free themes if you look. [...]
Thank You. It’s cool Themes
